Philippe Chambon is a Venture Partner at LBO France since 2018. After a distinguished career in healthcare venture capital in the US. He started his business career in 1987 in the pharmaceutical industry, with Sandoz Pharmaceutical US affiliate and in 1993 he joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Manager.

 

He has made numerous marquis name investments in the digital health sector over the years (such as ePocrates, Spotfire and Truveris) as part of his broader investments activities, first at The Sprout group which he joined in 1995, and then with New Leaf Venture Partners. In his role of Managing Director he led the spin-off of NLV from Sprout in 2005 and then the fundraising effort of 4 funds totalling over $1billion. He has investment and board experience across all stage of growth of companies, from start-up to public and small buy-outs. Philippe earned an MDPhD degree from University Paris V and an MBA from Columbia University.

Gilles Lasserre has been leading and advising companies and people, as General Manager for 15 years, both in the Healthcare and in the Industrial sector for mid-size companies (200 – 1000 people) or international corporations. Gilles is the CEO of Xantial and Genopole.
 

He developed sustainable and profitable business models by optimizing strategy (Baxter Healthcare), investments (Xantial) organization (Hutchinson), sales and innovation (Laboratoires LDA) and worldwide expansion (Baxter Healthcare). Gilles is committed, in each of his assignments, to reach operational excellence and results. He contributed to gain a competitive position, after a business turnaround, growing sales from € 25 M to € 50 M in 4 years (Baxter Healthcare). Gilles earned a MiM from ESSEC Business School and an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic. He has been leading the ESSEC Alumni Healthcare Chapter for more than 10 years.

Blandine Berkelmans has a broad experience in portfolio optimization and development with new business opportunities, global negotiation and contract deals, global multicultural and multi-professional team lead and communication, operational implementation of the deals, due diligence and Alliance management, strategic planning, and organisation of pitching events of startups in connected medical devices and medicines.

 

She is the Head of BD&L and M&A at Expanscience. Blandine earned a PharmD and a Master's Degree in Public Health from Rennes University I and an MBA from IE Business School.

Virginie Lefebvre-Dutilleul is an experienced lawyer, she has been advising organizations in the Life Sciences and Health Care sector on their strategic projects for 25 years. She has extensive experience in M&A and regulatory matters. She is the Global Life Sciences Law Leader at EY Law. Beyond her role as a lawyer, she is now the Life Sciences and Health market segment leader for EY in France and Benelux. Virginie is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and a member of the Paris Bar.
